Minimum size for toughened is 100 x 250mm
4mm annealed glass will be uplifted to 6mm if the size is greater than 1300mm in both directions or more than 2400 in one direction. There is the option of 4mm toughened up to 3.12m2. Any 4mm unit that exceeds 1300mm square, however, will be prone to dishing/flexing and orders will be accepted only at the customer’s own risk.
Maximum overall thickness of an Oakland Glass Sealed Unit is 32mm (6/20/6)
Triple units weighing in excess of 75kg will be subject to a 50% price surcharge.
Triple units weighing in excess of 100kg will be subject to a 75% price surcharge.
The absolute max weight for a unit supplied by Oakland Glass Ltd is 120kg (60kg for any single leaf)
All units in excess of 75kg will be supplied un-taped. The customer must also confirm that they are able to unload the unit from our vehicle.
All units with fan holes will be supplied in toughened glass. The edge of a fan hole must be a minimum 100mm in from the edge of the glass.
Lead and colour film is intended for application to glass surfaces that are flat. Colour films when applied to textured glass can display a less than desirable finish and not look optically clear. Any request for leading and filming onto textured glass will be accepted only at the customer’s own risk.
